Bumble and bumble Network Educator Abbey is recommending... LEAVE IN CONDITIONER
Leave in conditioner Leave In Conditioner is a great crossover moisturizer that does double duty as a base for styling products. leave in is a great, light detangler and softener. It can also be used in the shower paired with thickening shampoo.
Why Lightweight, moisture-rich, smoothness, frizz and flyaway control, detangling, curl management WhoAnyone; a great creme rinse or styling primer for finer hair
When Daily; in the shower or afterward, alone or in combination with styling products
How Comb or work through clean, wet hair and rinse thoroughly. Or, work a dab through hands, fingers and hair and style. Stop there for a natural look or give it more structure or texture (or both) with additional products.
Some cocktails Abbey enjoys.... Leave in Conditioner +
+ Styling Creme (after) = soft hold (put leave in on hair before styling creme is applied)
+ DeFrizz (mix in a drop or two) = smooth blow-drying (use a diffuser to define curls)
+ Brilliantine (after) when dry = sheen, separation

Bb Mending.

ALYSSEAPALOOZA
A personal story to share from one of our team member at Colour Line.... Kris's (co-owner of Colour Line) Nieces new journey....
Alysse is your typical 13 year old girl. She likes hanging out with family and friends, going to movies, out to each and even to school. Until one Sunday morning she wasn't feeling very good. Alysse complained about having a severe headache and she was vomiting all day. Later that evening, she tired to get up and fell to the floor. Her parents were worried and called 911.
Alysse was rushed to St. Joseph Hospital where they did a cat-scan and found a tumor in her brain. She was then transferred to Children's Memorial Hospital i Chicago. In the middle of the night Alysse suffered a seizure. They took her for an MRI, where they discovered a second tumor and rushed her off to brain surgery, immediately.
As her family sat waiting for the 8 hour surgery to be completed, the doctor finally cam out and told her parents the devastating news.
Alysse has brain cancer.....
During brain surgery, she ran into several complications. Alysse started to hemorrhage and needed a blood transfusion from the amount of blood she lost.
Right now, Alysse is resting comfortably at home with her mom, day and sisters. She has to endure chemo and radiation in hope of shrinking the tumors in her brain.
Kris is sharing this story and asking for your support. The family is putting together a fundraiser to be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at The Lodge Pub and Grill at Four Lakes in Lisle. If you would like to make a contribution you may send to:
Alysseapalooza; c/o Archer Bank, 3435 W. 111th Street, Chicago, IL 60655
If you would like to make a "Silent Auction" donation, please contact Kris by e-mail at kris@colourlinehairstudio.com.

DayOneNetwork
DayOneNetwork finds solutions and connections to needed services and supports for children and adults with developmental delays and/or disabilities in Kane and Kendall Counties and Hanover Township in Cook County. As the “system point of entry” for special needs’ services, DayOneNetwork serves over 3100 children and adults of which 2451 reside in Kane County this past year. DayOne’s mission is achieved through: early intervention, clinical evaluation and assessment, development and monitoring of individual service plans, access to information and referral to appropriate community services, 24 hour crisis intervention, determining eligibility, and advocacy for all service needs.
With the help of DayOneNetwork, 21% of the infants in our programs did not need further special education after age 3. Furthermore, DayOne has a 90% success rate of all service requests submitted to the State for funding. In addition, 95% of those we service gave us a ‘very pleased’ rating in our satisfaction survey. Finally, even with limited State funding increases, DayOne has risen to the challenge of providing services to 70% more clients from 2004 to the present.
To continue providing services to the community’s most vulnerable, DayOne depends upon fundraising events. On March 20, 2010, DayOne is holding its largest event of the year with its ‘Look Into Your Heart’ 2010 Auction and Gala held at the Q Center in St. Charles. DayOne is still looking for donations, sponsors, and attendees. Please go to www.dayonenetwork.org, click on events to reserve your tickets!
